Dancesport Victoria is the state branch of Australia's peek governing body of dancesport, Dancesport Australia.

Dancesport Victoria work in conjunction with the Victorian Government - Sport and Recreation Victoria, Dancesport Australia National Council as well as many service providers to the industry to create an effective and harmonious industry in Victoria for all competitors, coaches, adjudicators and the public alike.

The state board meets on the third Thursday of every month to discuss wide ranging topics and matters concerning dancesport within Victoria. Should you have anything you would like discussed at these meetings, please contact your Executive Officer.

Dancesport Victoria are currently working very hard on providing structure to the industry and where possible, creating opportunities for all to develop their involvement in dancesport. Such items include:

• A Rual and Regional Youth Development Program
• Subsidised Dancesport Australia membership for Open Medalist winners

• Annual subsidy for Victorian World Representative couples.

• Implementing the accreditation requirements of Dancesport Australia.

• Supporting National Council on the Continuing Professional Development policy to improve the standard of coaches and adjudicators

• Continued development and distribution of the annual Dancesport Victoria Booklet.
